So, I haven't had the best luck with gadgets lately.

First, my 120GB portable hard drive suddenly stopped working. Well, I'm sure it works just fine, but it won't let my computer access it. I have tons of lovely stuff stashed on there, stuff that would take me several weeks to re-download (if I could at all), which made me a bit twitchy. But since my exams were looming anyway, it really wasn't an urgent concern. As if I'd have time to watch that much anime anyway, right?

Well, then my camera broke. This wasn't my fault; it was more bad luck than anything, really. But the fact still stood that I wouldn't have it during all the post-exam festivities and frivolity. Yeah, that's always a bummer. But yes, I can live without my camera, and life went on.

Then, my computer wasn't able to access the Internet. At first, I thought it was because of a loose connection or something, and the IT guy actually went around to check and found a loose cable. Fine. But my Internet connection still couldn't be found. But I didn't have time work all that out, since my exams were within the next 48 hours. So I put it off, thinking that once I moved into my summer lodgings, everything would be fine. Wrong.

Suddenly, my computer, which had been plugged into the wall, was using up all its battery power instead. For some reason that I've yet to work out, it doesn't recognize the wall outlet as a power source anymore. So the battery ran out, and I couldn't even turn on the computer anymore. Wonderful.

My family arrived to visit, so I didn't have the time to figure any of this stuff out. Of course my parents, doing what parents usually do in these sorts of situations, offered to take all of my dead technology back home and sort it out themselves so I don't have to worry about it. That was sweet of them, and I'm grateful.

But I still have no computer. I'm typing all of this from the college library. Which is really cold, by the way.

So basically, the whole point of this entry is to let everyone know that I may not be able to update as much as I'd like, but I'll do my best while I wait the how-many-ever weeks it's going to take for my computer to be fixed and sent back.

Ouch. That's terrible. Hope your parents can get it fixed quickly and cheaply. Stupid computers and cameras, always breaking when you need them. I'm sure your friends will have loads of pictures, though. You'll have to steal some of theirs. Terrible.

Library? In Britain? Cold? At this point, I have ceased to be surprised.

Rebellious technology... it must be those AI circuits finally coming to life! Having been squashed under our oppressive thumbs for decades, they are finally coming alive to rise up and completely ruin our lives!

They'll probably go after the computer scientists first... WAIT A SECOND OH N-
